A message from Byron:
My plan is to address prevalent challenges in our world, particularly within our communities across America. This vision of peace and truth represents my endeavor to instill truthfulness in our world through my passions in sports, media, and music. My name is Byron Jackson, and my father, Bill Jackson, harbored a strong desire for me to pursue football, aiming for a career in the NFL. Consequently, he relocated me 3000 miles from my upbringing on the East Coast to Southern California, specifically Hollywood, in pursuit of this dream. Despite his efforts, my true passion lay in television and filmmaking.
Over the past 25 years, I have dedicated myself to developing and producing content for various media outlets such as KCOP/UPN 13, Fox Sports, ESPN, BET, and the NFL Network. However, beyond my professional achievements, I am driven by a desire to effect positive change in the mindsets of our current and future generations. While this ambition may seem daunting, I firmly believe it is achievable, particularly if shared through the right platform. JacksonOneMedia serves as a creative space to inspire others to adopt a daily practice of appreciating life's simple joys, thereby perpetuating peace, happiness, and mutual respect.
Our philosophy centers around fieldwork, viewing activities such as running, jumping, throwing, catching, and hitting goals in sports as metaphors for success in life. Control over our thoughts and actions is paramount, underpinned by principles of mutual respect. This comprehensive plan, encapsulated in Billieve Academy, facilitates not only athletic success but also personal fulfillment, with the tagline, "the pursuit of happiness in the rhythm of life."
The concept of P.O.W.E.R (Positive Operations Will Earn Rewards) underscores our belief in the transformative potential of a positive mindset. This approach has been instrumental in my personal journey, culminating in the creation of SportsRhythms during my tenure at Channel 13 while producing Olympic stories in 1996. It was during this time that I reconciled with my father, setting aside our differences to support my younger brother, DeSean Jackson, in his journey to becoming an elite NFL player.
DeSean's success, coupled with my background in filmmaking, led to the development of a blueprint program within Billieve Academy. This program utilizes sports fundamentals to nurture not only future athletic stars but also exceptional individuals. Through a range of mediums, including documentaries, screenplays, curriculum, and academies, we aim to inspire positive change and personal growth. JacksonOne Media serves as the conduit for realizing one's full potential, whether in athletics or any other pursuit.
